Scientific Evidence that God Exists?

Every human being has less than 1% of all the knowledge in the universe. Are you intellectually humble? What if within that 99% of all the knowledge you do not have there are multiple lines of evidence that the God of the Bible is real and trustworthy, but you have never been exposed to that information? You are encouraged to verify everything you read here.

Scientific Evidence that God Exists

Nothing appears by itself. It is scientifically impossible for even a grain of sand to just start existing. If there was ever a time in the past when there was absolutely nothing, scientifically, there would still be absolutely nothing. The fact that things exist means that something or someone must have always existed in order to cause them to exist. That state is called eternity: a reality with no time running, no beginning and no end. The fact that some things are alive in nature means that whatever that eternal thing is, it has life, because life can only come from something already living. Only God (at this point, whoever God is) fits those two scientific necessities.WHY SHOULD WE BELIEVE THE BIBLE?Archaeologically, written human history started around the same time period that the Bible assigns to Adam and Eve as the first human beings. The genealogies in the Bible between Adam and Jesus Christ point to humanity having been created around 6000 years ago. There is no verified written history from or before the year 4100 BC, which is roughly 6100 years ago. The oldest writings discovered by humanity date to around 3500 BC, which was about 5500 years ago. That is easy to check online.WHAT ABOUT DATING METHODS?Some people appeal to the use of dating methods and material discoveries such as fossils, cave paintings, and ancient tools to attempt describing “prehistory”, but “prehistory” is imagination, and imagination cannot be reliable history. A machine or other dating method producing a number of years cannot validate someone’s imagination as history. We know with certainty that Julius Caesar and George Washington existed in specific periods of human history because of their writings and writings about them, not because of their possessions, dwelling places or statues.HOW MANY “FACTS’’ ARE RELIABLE?All the lies about the world can’t be explained in a small web page, neither all the reasons why we should believe the Bible, but here’s some more information for you to think for yourself:- Explosions produce chaos and destruction, not order, so the Big Bang theory is not logical.
- Everything in nature tends to decay over time (metals corrode, buildings fall apart, etc.), so the universe cannot improve over billions of years or be eternal under its observable physical laws.
- The theory of evolution is not logical either. Nothing without life can scientifically start living – it’s not observable or repeatable.
- No one has ever reliably proved that a kind of animal ever changed into another (e.g., a shark into a crocodile, a bear into a monkey, etc.).
- Supposedly, everything is still evolving, but every animal species is 100% functional within its own ecosystem. And how can so many types of food be so delicious? In the first two chapters of the Bible, we can read that God made everything, that everything was very good, and that He finished the creation (Genesis 1:31, Genesis 2:1).
OTHER THINGS WORTH MENTIONINGThe Bible says that Jesus is God, and it warns that every other belief system is false. You can research about the ways in which Jesus claimed to be God, and reading those Bible chapters yourself is even better. Regardless, Jesus Christ is a historically verifiable person who gave wisdom to humanity and repeatedly claimed to be God.Why would someone claim to be God, without being God, and suffer persecution, mockery, torture, and one of the most painful forms of execution without repenting of that claim, finally dying very young? The death of Jesus by crucifixion is a historical fact supported even by non-Christian historians. His resurrection takes more faith, but history supports it: many of Jesus’s followers were terrified when He surrendered and died (of course, they didn’t want to get killed too). How could Christianity become such a big thing, then? Those followers were not afraid after seeing Jesus risen from the dead, to the point that they were also persecuted, tortured, and killed, in many cases, because telling other people about the risen Christ became their main goal in life. Why would some of Jesus’s closest friends die for something they knew to be a lie? If God had indeed lived among them and shown Himself physically to them after rising from the dead, nothing was more important than what He had said, right? Based on what those early followers ended up historically living and dying like, logic demands Jesus’s resurrection to be true. Also, Christianity was persecuted in its beginning for over 250 years, so the argument of it being created to control the population is not logical. Most religious groups want people to blindly follow their beliefs, but the Bible calls Christians to “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” (1 Thessalonians 5:21, KJV). False wisdom, false Christians, and corruptions of the Bible can’t stop the only true God from being true. Jesus said He is the truth (John 14:6).OUR PROBLEM AND THE SOLUTIONIt’s good to know all of that, but none of that knowledge is going to help you if you don’t receive a specific gift from God before He judges you. What gift? According to the Bible, all of us are sinners in different ways, but God is incorruptible, and every sin (even telling one lie or stealing something small) separates us permanently from God, like how darkness and light cannot be in the same place at the same time. We were created in the image and likeness of God. One of the things that means is that our souls will never stop existing. Separation from God means separation from the eternal source of life, so you will be spiritually dead for eternity unless you are reconciled to God. In the Bible, the place of eternal, conscious death is called Hell, and every unforgiven soul will be there. Imagine existing without being able to enjoy your existence, and wanting to die without being able to die. Jesus warned humanity about Hell in similar words. But God loves us so much that He allows us to disobey Him with a chance to be forgiven (that’s one of the reasons there’s evil in the world), and He made a way for us to be forgiven of our disobedience without forsaking justice. If you are taken to court for breaking the law, a good judge must make sure justice is done and make you pay for that, even if you are sorry and mention good things you have done in your life – even if that judge loves you. Only a corrupt judge would consider your sorrow and your good deeds, or love for you as the criteria to set you free. But if someone pays your fine, the judge can legally let you go. That is exactly how God can forgive us: He became a human being, lived a life without sin (because only God can do that), and died a painful death on a cross, as the only spiritual payment acceptable by Himself for all the sins of humanity. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23, KJV). Then He rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven. Salvation is the gift, and we can receive it by faith (Ephesians 2:8-9). It’s like a parachute we should put on while we fall from an airplane 10,000 feet high, but we have to receive it before it can save us. You don’t know when you are going to die. Is there any good reason why you cannot receive that gift right now? If you want to receive it, you can tell God something like this:“Thank You, Lord Jesus, for suffering and dying for my sins. I am sorry for my sins (you can mention some), and I ask humbly that You forgive me. I pray You give me good desires from now on, help me do Your will for my life, help me avoid behaviors You don’t like, and help me get to know You better. I want to know You, Lord. Thank You for dying in my place so I could have forgiveness and eternal life.”
